This is a “day in the life of a HealthyPetNet Rep”, so I just want to say that I also have a maybe-not-so-secret-life as a marathon runner. It’s my way of fighting leukemia.
My first season was last year and I went from old and out of shape to youthful and so fit and trim! More than that, it entirely changed my life. What an incredible way to give back.
One of my teammates runs for her five-year-old son, Mason, who has survived the first 52 weeks of a 100-week chemotherapy plan. See his blog at http://mightymason.wordpress.com/
I am coming back this year as a mentor, meaning, I’ll help my little group of teammates learn how to raise money for their fight for leukemia.
I’m VERY excited and can’t wait to run with my long-lost cousin and many others in the San Diego Marathon on May 31 of 2009!!
